The Panthers (3-0) beat Malden Catholic at home, 16-3.
In the third quarter, Senior Dave Bailey, who ran for 72 yards on 10 carries, scored the first touchdown to give Whitman-Hanson the lead, erasing a 3-0 deficit.
Junior Mario Thompson, who had 76 yards on eight carries, put the game away with a fourth-quarter touchdown. He was also a defensive standout, intercepting two passes in the win.
QB John Caliri was efficient for Whitman-Hanson, completing 6 of 10 passes for 189 yards. Anthony Villanueva caught two passes for 82 yards.
The Panthers, who open league play next week against a Duxbury team that hasn’t lost since 2009, also got nine tackles from linebacker Corey Burns.
