WH Football Off To Strong Start

The Panther Football team hung on for a 29-24 victory on Saturday afternoon. Leading the way for the Panthers was Senior Quarterback John Caliri,  Caliri  completed 12-14 passes for 255 yards, rushed for 37 yards on 3 carries and threw and ran one in as well. The scoring started with a 60 yard scoring strike from Caliri to junior Dondre James, Dondre had 2 catches for 101 yards and the score. Junior Jeff Bechen scored from 2 yards out and Dave Coclough kicked two field goals and 3 extra points to round out the scoring, before the Panthers cleared the benches.
 
Leading the way defensively was Senior Safety Ryan Henry with two interceptions and senior Corey Burns with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery, Hank Moylan also had an interception to seal the deal for the Panthers first victory of the season. Next up Rockland.
