Championship Week

The Whitman-Hanson girls soccer team will play host to Duxbury on Monday night (10/24) at 6pm in a game which will decide the Patriot League championship. The two teams go into the final league game of the season in a tie with 21 points. The Panthers have won 6 straight league titles. This run is particularly impressive after Whitman-Hanson lost many great players to graduation a year ago including All-American Samantha Mewis, who is now playing at UCLA. This year’s Panther squad is led by Seniors Devon Morse and Cassie Chernicki who both have 11 goals. Morse also leads the team with 7 assists. Fellow senior Mackenzie Hatfield has 9 goals while Junior Yasmin Civan has 6. Sophomore keeper Lauren Clark has been solid in goal with a .66 GAA in 12 games.

The Panthers are unbeaten in its last 13 games (12-0-1).
