The Whitman-Hanson boys cross country team beat Patriot-League challenger Duxbury today by a score of 17-46 on Duxbury's 3.01 mile home course. Seniors Nate Stephansky and Pat Mulrey, and junior Brian Sheppard took the top three spots overall in 17:22, 17:27, and 17:34 respectively. After a Duxbury runner finished fourth, Whitman-Hanson grabbed the next six spots putting a total of nine runners in the top ten. Finishing in 5th place was freshman, Sam Evans running 17:39, followed close behind by senior, Chris Londergan in 17:41. Also running well for the Panthers was Steve Smart (JR), Paul Duffey (SR), Pat Brett (SO), and Tyler Durrant (JR).
Next up for the Panthers will be the elite Brown Northeast Invitational to be held on Saturday in Warwick, RI.
