Pembroke Boys Spoil Stephansky's Personal Best

The Whitman-Hanson boys cross country team lost to Pembroke this afternoon, 20-42, handing the Panthers their first loss of the season.  Senior, Nate Stephansky's individual win in a personal-best time of 16:17 was not enough to hold back the Titans who captured the next six spots.  Senior, Pat Mulrey was the second WH runner to cross the line, clocking a season's-best time of17:10.  Junior, Brian Sheppard, and Senior Chris Londergan were not far behind; both ran personal-bests in 16:32 and 16:35 respectively.  Junior, Steve Smart wrapped up the scoring for the Panthers with a personal-best time of 17:46.  Personal-bests were also recorded by Sam Evans (FR), Paul Duffey (SR), Nate O'Brien (SO), Jayson Keenan (FR), and Luca Cerruty (SR).  

Next up for the Panthers will be an away meet against Duxbury next Tuesday.
