Boys Soccer Wins Again

Patriot League: The Whitman Hanson Panthers extended their undefeated streak to 6 with a tough win over Hanover 3 – 2. Hanover opened the scoring at the 5 minute mark on a shot by Andrew Zwart that deflected off a W-H defender. The Panthers answered it 2 minutes later when Antonio Centeio gave a nice pass to Brian McGahan who put the panthers on the board. The Panthers went up 2 to 1 at the 30th minute of the first half when Brian Barry sent a corner kick to Will Roache who drove it home. In the 2nd half, Mike Auld gave a beautifully chipped ball to Brian McGahan who headed the ball into the net for his 2nd goal of the game. Hanover managed to keep the game close when Nick Kelsey poked the ball in at the 35th minute. The Panthers are now 5 – 6 – 1 overall.
