Girls Volleyball Records Road Win

Tonight the Whitman-Hanson Volleyball team played a back and forth match against the Middleborough Sachems. Whitman-Hanson won the match 3-1 with game scores of 25-17, 20-25, 25-15 and 25-21. Both teams played very sloppy volleyball with more errors than either coach would like to have seen. Hitting errors were a big problem for both teams. Whitman-Hanson was able to put together a few strings of good passing and hitting in the right places to secure the win. Both teams played really scrappy volleyball with neither team wanting to give up any easy points to the other team. Ultimately, Whitman-Hanson's offense was able to kick into the right gear and close out the three winning sets. Playing well tonight for the Panther's were Erin Clifford with 16 kills, Erin Doherty with 24 assists and Abby Trapp with 9 blocks. Whitman-Hanson hosts Pembroke on Friday. Whitman-Hanson moves to 4-9 on the season.
