Young wrestlimg team makes more progress

The Whitman-Hanson wrestling team knew it was going to be a difficult day heading into Marshfield this weekend for a super quad.  Each year, the competition is filled with top teams.  The panthers lost to perennial state powerhouse Chelmsford.
They proved to be resilient by bouncing back to beat Weymouth 60-6.
The young panther team then lost two heartbreaking contests to Marshfield 39-37 and TollGate 41-40.  They wrestled well and were so close to being 3-1 on the day.  Highlighting the day for the panther squad was Tysun Plouse who went 4-0 with 4 pins.  He continues to impress the coaches with his strong performance.  Coach Broderick notes "He came back ready to wrestle this year and keeps getting better every day."  Senior Captain Zack Perkins had another strong day going 3-0.  Picking up 2 victories each were Kyle Tamulevich, Corey Reid, Luke Rogers, Rob Bunszell, Nate Perkins, and Cole Berthelette.  First year wrestlers Alex O'Rourke and Mike McDonough garnished their varsity wins.  The wrestling team heads to the Marshfield Holiday Tournament Friday and Saturday.
