Girls Swimming Wins Again

WHAM defeated Scituate

Middleboro defeated Scituate.

This brings both of our team records to 5 wins, 2 losses!

Some highlights!

In the girls 200 yard medley relay, WHAM took first place with a time of 2:10.17! Swimmers were Angie Foley, Shawna Ryan, Abby Bailey, and Lauren Foley

In the boys 200 yard medley relay, Middleboro took first place with a time of 1:58.63! Swimmers were Amos Wood, Kamal Lewis, Noah Yeskevics, and Brandon Jackson.

In the girls 200 yard freestyle, WHAM took first and second place!

-Sophomore Angie Foley swam her best time, a 2:13.42, for 1st!

-Freshman Amy Collins swam her best time, a 2:24.08, for 2nd!

Freshman Tylar Morano placed 1st in the boys 200 yard freestyle Senior Justin Wilbur earned a best time of 2:27.54 in the 200 yard freestyle.

Senior Abel Bastarache earned a best time of 2:36.46 in the 200 yard freestyle.

Sophomore Lauren Foley placed 2nd in the girls 200 yard Individual Medley, earning a best time of 2:28.83 and qualifying for STATES!

Junior Hayden Dargelis earned a best time of 3:13.21 in the boys 200 yard Individual Medley

Junior Nicole Perfectuo earned her best time in the 50 yard freestyle, 30.26 seconds!

Boys swept the 50 yard freestyle, earning 1, 2 and 3 place!

-Senior Brandan Jackson swam his best time, 25.93 seconds - earning him 2nd.

-Senior Kamai Lewis swam his best time, 27.28 seconds - earning him 3rd.

Senior Jenn King took first place in the 100 yard butterfly!

WHAM took 1st and 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle with sophomore Abby Bailey swimming a 1:02.44 for 1st and Senior Samm Vigneaux swimming a 1:07.25 for 2nd.

Boys took 1st and 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle with freshman Tylar Morano swimming his best time, 1:00.27 for 1st and senior Amos Wood swimming a 1:02.20 for 2nd

WHAM took 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the 500 yard freestyle!

-Freshman Amy Collins earned 2nd with a best time of 6:37.63! Also, happy birthday Ame!

-Senior Erin Long earned 3rd with a best time of 6:59.84!

-Sophomore Lexie Sangleer earned 4th with a best time of 7:22.32!

Senior Justin WIlbur earned his best time in the 500 yard freestyle, a 6:49.35 Senior Abel Bastarache earned his best time in the 500 yard freestyle, a 7:31.09 Junior Zane Ruchrwein earned his best time on the 500 yard freestyle, a 7:51.52

WHAM took 1st and 2nd in the 200 freestyle relay. 1st place swimmers were Shawna Ryan, Lauren Foley Alyssa Lusardi, and Abby Bailey with a time of 1:52.85. 2nd place swimmers were Hayley Poskus, Nicole Perfectuo, Samm Vigneaux, and Erin Long with a time of 2:01.61.

Middleboro took 1st and 3rd in the 200 yard freestyle relay. 1st place swimmers were Brandan Jackson, Kamal Lewis, Tylar Morano, and Noah Yeskevicz with a time of 1:45.30. 3rd place swimmers were Hayden Dargelis, David Cleary, Jack Lewicki, and Abel Bastarache with a time of 2:01.51.

Sophomore Angie Foley earned 1st place in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:08.00, qualifying her for SECTIONALS!

WHAM earned 1st in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:21.67. Swimmers were Amy Collins, Erin Long, Angie Foley, and Jenn King. 3rd place for WHAM with a time of 4:59.64 by swimmers Hayley Poskus, Samm Vigneaux, Katie Cunningham, and Steph Friece. Good job to our “diver’s” relay!

Middleboro boys earned 1st and 3rd in the 400 yard freestyle. 1st place had a time of 4:16.08 with swimmers Justin Wilbur, Kamai Lewis, Amos Wood, and Tylar Morano. 3rd place had a time of 5:00.17 with swimmers Zane Ruchrwein, Bryant Marshall, Abel Bastarache, and Jack Lewicki.

Thank you so much! We are working very hard getting ready for the Patriot Conference League Meet during the weekend of January 31st at the Lincoln Hancock Pool in Quincy.
