Panthers Wrestling Drops a Tight One

The W-H Wrestling team traveled to Southeastern Regional High school Thursday night. The Panthers climbed out to a quick 18-0 lead with three pins from Kyle Tamulevich, Cory Reid and Mike McDonough to start the night. Things then turned in favor of Southeastern as they came back with three pins of thier own. Captains Rob Bunszell and Zach Perkins helped get the Panthers back on track both winning the next two matches 13-0 and by pin respectively. The Panthers dropped the next bout, but then in the match of the night Dan Bean (170 lbs.) pulled out an exciting overtime victory taking down his opponent with only seconds left in the overtime session. W-H pulled out one last win at 195 lbs with Cole Berthelette pinning his opponent, but the Hawks proved to much in the upper weight class where they eventually pulled out a 42-37 win over the Panthers.
