Whitman – Senior captain Brian Feeney exploded for 33 points and fellow captain Shane Devlin added 19 to lift (#2 seed) Whitman-Hanson to an 81-65 victory over (#15 seed) Oliver Ames in the first round of the Division 2 South Sectional MIAA Tournament. Senior Cory Cocchi added 15 while fellow seniors Tory Champignie and Zach Downey played tenacious defense to help secure the win for the Panthers (18-3).
