W-H Girls Lax

Whitman-Hanson Girls Lacrosse beat Pembroke today 18-3 at home for a Patriot League win. It was the third day in a row that the Panthers had a game and they showed no signs of fatigue. It was their Senior Night and they were fired up to play for their parents and the fans. The Panther's offense controlled the majority of the draws and they scored early and often. The defense was remarkable again as they held Pembroke scoreless until 10 minutes into the second half. Goalkeeper Rachel Kelly' 8 saves also kept Pembroke away from the scoreboard to most of the game. Leading the way for the Panthers was Senior Captain Steph Warn who tallied 5 goals. She has amassed over 170 goals in her career which is the highest in school history. Marina Kelly and Steph Hyslip both had hat tricks to go with their 3 and 2 assists respectively. Also scoring for the Panthers were Sam Keenan (2), Rachel Spillane (2), Rylee Holmes (1), Amelia Gould (1), and Liz Hyslip (1). The Panthers are now 12-5 overall (5-4 Patriot League).
