> Hingham came into Whitman-Hanson tonight and beat the Panthers 3-0. Game scores were 19-25, 11-25 and 17-25. The Panthers started the game much the way they finished with errors in serve receive and defense. Hingham got out to an early lead but Whitman-Hanson hung around thanks to solid play out of Sophie O'Brien in the middle. Ultimately the Hingham attack was too much for the Panthers and they pulled away for the win in the first set. In the second set the Panthers came out flat and allowed Hingham to get out to a big 7-0 lead. The Panthers were never able to rein Hingham in due to really sloppy passing and hitting from all over the court. In the third and deciding set the Panthers could get nothing going out of their offense and allowed Hingham to drive the game with their attack. Whitman-Hanson falls to 2-4 on the season and gets ready to host Plymouth South on Monday.
