Panthers Improve to 11-5

>
>
> The WH Golf Squad tied their best record of 11-5 with today's victory over the Quincy Presidents 226-284. The match was their last one at home for the season, but still two matches left to play, the team hopes to leave their footprint, by surpassing the impressive record held by the 2011 team. Similar to the 2011 squad, this year's team is full of veteran leadership; the 2014 edition includes 7 seniors, who all played in their final match at Ridder Farm Golf Club dawning their black and red colors. They certainly went out with a bang, as all of them shot 6-over or better.
>
> The first pairing in the match was jr. Cole Manning and senior captain Josh Kelleher - each shot a 3-over 37 and 6-over 40 respectively. The second group was seniors Cam Manning and Colin Josselyn. Cam turned in a 2-over 38 and Colin followed that with a 5-over 39. Sr. Captain Zach Burke played with sr. Sam Perkins in the third group, just as they have over the past 4 years. Perkins carded a 3-over performance, followed by Burke's 5-over play. In the final pairing, seniors Alex Burbank and Nolan Warren teamed up to shoot 3-over and 4-over, respectively.

> On top of the complete team victory on what was "senior day" for the team, everyone wore pink ribbons and other various apparel and gear in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
>
> The Panthers finished the week with a 3-1 record and will travel to Martha's Vineyard to play the prestigious Farm Neck Golf Course on Columbus Day this Monday followed by a trip to the Country Club of Halifax on Wednesday to finish off their season.
