Strong Start For Wrestling Team








The Whitman-Hanson Panther wrestling team kicked off the season on Saturday December 13th with a strong showing in the 2nd Annual Devin Ness Memorial tournament held at Oliver Ames High School in Easton. With many wrestlers winning their first round matches the Panthers remained atop the leader board against 15 other squads in attendance for a good part of the day. Junior Kyle "The Animal" Tamulevich lead the charge with a strong 2nd Place finish in the 120 lb weight class. Junior Mike McDonough enjoyed success finishing 4th in the 126 lb class. Junior Joe Arico placed an impressive 3rd on the day in the 152 lb weight class. As senior captain Garrett McSweeney rounded out the Panthers day with a 3rd place finish at the 195 lb weight class it enable the team to settle into 4th place as a team. The WH Panthers host the Duxbury Dragons Wednesday December 17th for the first of its league match-ups.
