The Whitman-Hanson boys basketball team survived a back and
forth affair with Quincy, 79-74 in a battle of the top two teams in the Patriot
League. Junior Cole Manning scored all 8 of his points in the final
quarter and also picked up 3 big assists to lead the Panthers (8-1,7-0) to the
victory. Junior captain Nick Smith led 4 players in double figures with
23 points while Junior Josh Rice (16 points) drilled 4 3 pointers. Senior
JT Bain was immense for Quincy (8-1, 6-1) scoring 37 points.
