Whitman-Hanson Varsity Girls Lacrosse

> The Whitman-Hanson Girls Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Silver Lake for a league match up this afternoon. The Panthers trailed 3-0 for most of the first half and were down 5-3 going into half time. To start the second half, the Panthers started controlling the draw and tied the score 5-5. Both teams traded goals for the next 10 minutes until it was tied 9-9. That's when the Whitman-Hanson offense really started to click en route to a 15-10 final score. Rachel Kelly lead the second half charge with 5 goals and an assist. Gabby Majenski also had a big hand in the comeback with 3 goals and 3 assists. Also scoring for the Panthers was Arica McCarthy (2 goals, 2 assists), Rachel Spillane (2 goals, 1 assist), Ali Joanis (2 goals, 1 assist ), and Liz Hyslip (1 goal). Freshman goalie Alyssa Nicholson had another monster game with 15 saves. Whitman-Hanson is now 3-1 (2-0 league).
