The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team opened the season with a 4-0 win over non-league opponent Nauset. Alexis Fruzetti, two goals, put the Panthers on the board when she worked a combination with Taylor Kofton and fired a shot in to the low corner. The game remained 1-0 heading in to the half. Kofton, Kat O'Kane and Fruzzetti all scored in the second half to account for the 4-0 final. Skylar Kuzmich earned her first varsity shutout in goal. Katie Korzec, Kelsey Gilbert, KatO'kane and Elana Wood all played strong defensive games limiting Nauset to 3 shots for the game. The Nauset defense played well as they faced 43 shots from the Panthers.
