The Whitman Hanson golf team ended their season today with an unfortunate loss to the Silver Lake Lakers to 41-250 at the country club of Halifax. The Panthers finished one win shy of qualifying for the state tournament, which will be held at Easton Country Club.
In his final regular-season match of his high school career, senior captain Cole Manning shot a 2 over par 38. Juniors John Murphy and Luke Tamulevich both came in with a 5 over par performance to help keep the match close, but it wasn't enough.
Although disappointed that he won't be traveling with his teammates, Cole Manning will be representing the team as an individual in the state tournament this coming Tuesday.
