> The Whitman-Hanson Girls Varsity Lacrosse team won their season opener this afternoon in a league match up with North Quincy. WH battled with a tough team and torrential downpours in Quincy to take home the victory 12-10. Kasey Molito recorded 9 saves in her first game as goalie. She was protected by a stellar defense led by Jess Nihan, Mel McAleer, Camille Miller, and Taylor McVeigh. Rachel Kelly led WH with 5 goals. Also scoring for the Panthers was Captain Gabby Majenski (2 goals, 1 assist), McVeigh (2 goals, 1 assist), Captain Rylee Holmes (1 goal), McAleer (1 goal), and Mikayla White (1 goal). The win starts the season 1-0 for the Panthers (1-0 league).
