Field Hockey Outmatched by Duxbury

The Whitman-Hanson Field Hockey Panthers played against the Duxbury Dragons today in Duxbury, MA.  The Panthers had just played 24 hours before against the Silver Lake Lakers and played well in a 3-0 loss.  Duxbury has had somewhat of a slow start to their season, the Dragon's regained their stride today.  They controlled the game from start to finish.  The Duxbury Dragon forwards peppered Panther Goalie, Molly McKinnon, with shot after shot.  She was able to fend off most of Duxbury's furies.  Duxbury jumped to a 3-0 lead by the end of the first half.  The Panthers found their legs and pushed the Dragons back into their own zone far more than in the second half compared to their first.  However, any type of resurgence from the Panthers was shut down by the Dragon Defense.  The Dragons continued their offensive attack and added another 4 goals.  The Panthers lose to the Dragons 7-0, the worst loss for the Panthers this season.  The Referees noted a stellar performance by the Panther Goalie as she made over 20 saves.
