The Whitman-Hanson Boys Cross Country team (2-0) downed Hanover 17-38 Tuesday afternoon at Whitman-Hanson. Senior Captain Bryce Pulkinen paced the Panthers over the 5K course in winning with a time of 17:54. Junior Andrew Newman (2nd; 17:58), Junior Captain Jack Ryan (3rd; 18:03), Senior Captain Lukas Moscoso (5th; 18:21) and Junior Alex Uva (6th; 19:31) also scored for Whitman-Hanson. Hanover's Nick Courtney finished 4th in 18:06 to avoid the shutout.
The Whitman-Hanson Girls (0-2) fell to Hanover on its 5K course 28-27 Tuesday in a tight Patriot League meet. Whitman-Hanson placed the top 2 finishers with Junior Captain Nicole Norve (21:34) and Senior Captain Olivia Morse (21:58.) But Hanover took the next 4 spots to seal the victory behind Niamh Kenney (22:03), Alyssa Nee (22:13), Erin Flynn (22:42) and Jordanna Laprise (22:52.)
