Plymouth South's Drew Mahoney placed first in Tuesday's meet at Whitman-Hanson on the Panthers' 5K home course. But it was Whitman-Hanson (6-2) placing the next 5 runners for the 20-38 win. W-H was led by JR Captain Jack Ryan (2nd, 16:56). Following closely behind Ryan were SR Captain Lukas Moscoso (3rd, 17:06), SR Captain Bryce Pulkinen (4th, 17:09), JR Andrew Newman (5th, 17:14) and JR Cam Wilson (6th, 17:32.)
GIRLS
Jillian Callahan of Plymouth South, fresh off a 4th place finish at the Bay State Invitational, ran well enough to win in Tuesday's meet with the Panthers at Whitman-Hanson. Callahan finished the 5K in 19:51. Whitman-Hanson (3-5) placed 6 of the top 10 to edge Plymouth South 27-30. JR Captain Nicole Norve finished 2nd in 20:02. Plymouth South's Megan Trombly was 3rd at 20:52. But strong efforts from SR Captain Olivia Morse (4th, 21:04), JR Julia Cosgrave (5th, 21:58), Lilly Perkins (7th, 22:15) and Camryn Boyce (9th, 22:35) sealed the win for Whitman-Hanson.
