> WH opened the meet on balance beam, our second best event, with the four top scores totaling 29.3. Erin Mccoy lead off with a stuck beam routine scoring 7.0. Our top beamer was Sarah Bombardier with a score of 7.6 (5th place) even with a fall.
> Other beam scores were:
> Kaylee Torpey 7.5 (T 6th place)
> Kaileigh Gordon 7.2
> Joelle Puopolo 6.9
> Sarah Allen 6.2
>
> Vault was our next, and best event, with top four scores totaling 31.1. Our top vaulter was Kaylee Torpey with 8.2 (5th place)
> Other vault scores were:
> Jade Brown 7.8 (7th place)
> Sarah Bombardier 7.7 (8th place)
> Chloe Wilson 7.4
> Kaileigh Gordon 7.4
> Amelia McInnis 7.3
>
> Floor was a solid event despite only putting up four gymnasts. Event total score was 28.1. Our top floor score came from Kaylee Torpey with 7.6 (7th place). Sarah Bombardier was just behind that with a 7.4 (8th place). Courtney Kailher (6.0) and Joelle Puopolo (7.1) performed brand new floor routines. We look forward to adding more gymnasts to our floor lineup in the coming meets.
>
> Bars was our last and, expectedly, weakest event with top four scores totaling 23.9. Top bar scorer with our most difficult routine was Sarah Bombardier with a 7.0 (5th place) despite a fall on her dismount. Other bar scores were:
> Joelle Puopolo 5.7
> Kaileigh Gordon 5.7
> Kaylee Torpey 5.5
> Jade Brown 4.7
> We look forward to increasing our difficulty level on bars and, in turn, our scores in the coming meets.
>
> NDA took first and second place in individual all-around competition while WH's Sarah Bombardier took 3rd place with 29.7 and Kaylee Torpey took 4th place with 28.8.
>
> Our first meet was fun, challenging, and a great learning lesson. We expect and look forward to skill progression and increased difficulty in our routines throughout the season.
