The Whitman-Hanson Panther Wrestling team walked away with a hard fought Patriot League victory on Wednesday evening against Plymouth North.  The score was all tied up at 12-12 with an exchange of forfeits before the real wrestling even began.  Kevin Smith got things started in the 152 pound class with a hard fought pin in 2:35 of the second period.  Following Kevin at 160 pounds was Logan Scriven who finished off his opponent with a pin in 2:50.  The pins continued at 170 pounds as Steve Osborn pinned his foe in 4:31.  Not to be outdone at 182 pounds was Alex O'Roak who pinned his man in just :44 bringing the match score to WH 42 Plymouth North 24 with three matches to go.  Christian Schneider had a tough match at 195 pounds against a senior captain and lost bringing the match score to 42-30 WH.  At 220 pounds, senior co-captain John Will had an unprecedented third triple overtime match of the season.  John has won all three of these matches winning this one 2-2 on criteria.  This is John's second time this season winning in triple overtime over the same Plymouth North opponent.  The final score after a forfeit at 285 was WH 45 Plymouth North 36.  The win brings Whitman-Hanson to a 7-11 record on the season and matches last year's win total with 7 dual meets left in the season.  The Panthers travel to Hanover for a quad meet on Saturday starting at 10am.
