Boys and Girls LAX Drop Openers

The Whitman-Hanson Girls Varsity Lacrosse team dropped the season opener at Oliver Ames today, 12-10 in non-league action. Also scoring for the Panthers was Riley MacDonald  (2 goals), Mel McAleer  (1 goal,  3 assists), Ali Joanis  (goal, assist), Zoe Lydon.(goal), and Mik White ( assist). Kasey Molito had 10 saves in goal for WH.
WH Boys Lacrosse opened the season against Abington. In rainy, snowy conditions Abington prevailed 14-9. Panthers entered 4th quarter trailing 9-8 before Abington pulled away. Panthers were lead by Junior Captain Jake Long with 5 goals. Sophomore Sean Joanis had 2 goals, Senior Captain Ryan Kennedy and Junior Kyle Neilihy each had a goal.
