The Whitman Hanson golf team opened their season today at Ridder Farm Golf Course, hosting the Silver Lake Lakers. The match was close, but the Panthers couldn't come back from Silver Lake's Dillon Brown, who shot the low score on the day, a 5 under 29, which catapulted his team to a 231-239 victory.
The Panthers made it a fight, as senior captain JP Drier and senior Anthony Palmacci both turned in 3 over par performances, while junior captain Owen Manning carded a 5 over par.
The Panthers fall to 0-1 with today's loss, and will be traveling in three of the four matches scheduled for next week.
