Whitman- JJ Frisoli was an accomplished student-athlete at Whitman-Hanson where he was captain of the championship football and wrestling teams. Loved by all who met him, JJ was especially proud of the communities of Whitman and Hanson. Through athletics and a strong community spirit, JJ benefited greatly from the lessons he learned such as leadership, work ethic, discipline, dedication, sportsmanship, loyalty and commitment. JJ stayed very close with all of his Whitman Hanson friends and gave back to all the communities he was a part of.
The JJ Frisoli Foundation was established by the Frisoli family in honor of JJ’s spirit and love of life. A scholarship equal to $10,000 will be given to a Whitman-Hanson senior student graduating from Whitman Hanson in 2018 who has demonstrated excellence in athletics in terms of leadership and accomplishment while maintaining a C average or higher. The student will be required to be attending a college, the military service or an accredited apprenticeship program. The JJ Frisoli Foundation will select the individual winner in February and the winner will be announced at the Whitman-Hanson Scholarship night. The application has been emailed to all members of the class of 2018.

Joseph John “JJ” Frisoli grew up in Hanson, MA as part of a large family of four sons. Born to Joe and Maureen Frisoli, JJ was an adored brother of Michael, Marc and Chris. JJ married his college sweetheart, Eve Lambros, and they recently moved to Charlestown, MA. JJ was a treasured figure among anyone fortunate enough to meet him.
JJ was a two sport captain in football and wrestling for Whitman Hanson High School. Always a winner, JJ captained the Superbowl Championship football team and League Championship undefeated wrestling team during his senior year.
As a four year starter on the football team at UMass Dartmouth, JJ was elected captain of the team his senior year. JJ was a beloved leader on and off the athletic fields and campus wide among his peers.
Working in the financial services industry for his career, JJ and Eve lived in New York City for 12 years where he was a successful commodities trader on the New York Board of Trade.
JJ was a wonderful family man and unconditionally loved his wife, parents, mother-in-law, brothers, sisters & brother-in-laws, uncles & aunts, cousins and many nieces and nephews. Always a sports fan, JJ was a fixture at the football, hockey, soccer and lacrosse games for his nieces and nephews.
JJ brought unconditional love and joy to everyone and everything he encountered. An exemplary representation of a kind heart and generous soul, JJ gave so much happiness and love to the world.
To keep JJ’s wonderful spirit alive forever, The JJ Frisoli Foundation has been established to provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Whitman Hanson Regional High School.
