Baseball Wins Again

Ethan Phelps won his second varsity game in as many starts on the mound by shutting Hingham out in a 70 pitch, distance-going performance.

Phelps scattered 4 hits, struck out 6, and walked only 1 Hingham batter.

Defensively the Panthers were again tough as they turned a 6-4-3 double play, Danny Kent to Mike Cook to Jim Dolan, in the fifth. Ryan Sawtelle also threw out another runner, and Rian Schwede and Derek Frank chased down some tough wind-blown fly balls in the outfield.

Offensively W-H scored single riuns in the second, third and fifth innings.

In the second, Ryan Swatelle hit a long double, advanced on a right side ground ball by Caleb Burke, and came home on a Frank sacrifice fly.

In the third and fifth innings, Phelps singled, stole second, and eventually scored on ground balls.

After their seventh win in a row, the Panthers are now 9-1 in the Patriot League and Overall.
