Whitman – Five different players had multiple hit games for
Whitman-Hanson but it wasn’t enough as Silver Lake recorded a 14-2 victory in
Patriot League action. Erin Burke, Reese
Codero, Annie Cook, Victoria Ryan and Emily McDonald led the 12 hit attack for
the Panthers (0-1, 0-2). Kaylee Corbett
and Cook both had RBI singles. The Panthers
turned in several excellent defensive plays
including a sensational catch by catcher Emily McDonald on a bunt
attempt. Another great defensive play
was turned in by Cook at third base when she fielded a ground ball and faked a
throw to first and then dove at the runner at third to record the out. Whitman-Hanson will be back in action
tomorrow at Plymouth South.
