Whitman Hanson Softball defeated Quincy 11-6 in extra innings
on Monday. Quincy was held to 6 six runs after being up 6-3 in the third. WH
tied it 6-6 in the top of the 7th and scored 5 in the 8th to win it. Erin Burke
pitched for WH. She surrendered six runs on seven hits over eight innings,
striking out five. WH had 13 hits in the game. McDonald, Ryan, Ella
Scriven, and Kayla Crawford all managed multiple hits for the Panthers.
Ryan and McDonald each collected three hits to lead WH. McDonald also had a
phenomenal catch in the outfield to end the 7th and take the game to extras.
