Baseball Bounces Back


The Whitman-Hanson baseball team closed out its week with a victory over Pembroke , 7-0.

Ethan Phelps pitched 6 shutout innings before being relieved by Sean MacKay, who finished the game in his first varsity mound appearance.

The Whitman-Hanson hitting attack was led by senior Will Newell who had 3 hits, while Rian Schwede and Derek Frank each had 2 hits. Tom Marshall, Ethan Phelps, Danny Kent, Mike Cook, and Devin Coulstring also had hits as the Panthers scored 5 runs in the second inning , 1 in the third and 1 in the fourth.

Whitman-Hanson is now 8-1 overall and 6-1 in Patriot League play.
