Boys Tennis Posts Win

The Whitman-Hanson boys tennis team won their first match of the season, beating a tough Silver Lake team, 3-2. The Panthers took an early 2-0 lead, winning both doubles matches. At the1st doubles position, senior captain Cameron Lindsay and his brother, sophomore Zach Lindsay, won in two sets, 6-4, 6-3, while freshman duo Tristan Baker and Nate Burt made short work of their opponents at second doubles, winning 6-0, 6-3. Clinching the victory was junior Will Mulligan who won his match at 3rd singles, 7-5, 6-4. At first singles, junior Aidan Hickey played so great tennis and battled for every point, as did freshman Mateo Santalucia at 2nd singles. The team is now 1-2 on the season and travels to Marshfield on Friday, hoping to even up their record.
