Whitman-Hanson battled it out with Quincy in their first league game, but ultimately fell short 1-3 (25-23, 8-25, 21-25, 11-25). Lily Welch was a presence at the net with 19 kills and 3 solo blocks. Caroline Gray had 30 assists, a season high. The panthers are back in action on Friday when they face Plymouth North.
