Boys Basketball Captain Earns Honor

11th ANNUAL MIAA STUDENT SPORTSMANSHIP ESSAY/MULTIMEDIA CONTEST RESULTS
"How Can Student-Athletes Make a Difference in the Community" Congratulations to Whitman-Hanson senior and boys basketball captain Alex Nuby who was named as a finalist in the annual MIAA sportsmanship essay contest. Alex wrote his essay about the importance of high school athletes serving as role models for younger students both in the field of play and in the community. Alex will attend the 18th Annual MIAA Sportsmanship Summit on Friday, November 18 at Gillette Stadium along with a select group of captains from various high school teams here at Whitman-Hanson. In addition, his essay will be printed in “Sportsmanship: A Game Plan for Life – Volume XI.” This booklet will be distributed to attendees of the Sportsmanship Summit and will be sent to MIAA member schools.
