Boys Hockey Gearing Up For Tourney

The boys hockey team earned their first trip to the MIAA tournament since 2009 when they were 10-9-1 (21 points) and lost to Martha's Vineyard in the first round.  The team punched their post season ticket last Wednesday when they beat North Quincy 4-1 in an early morning battle at Rockland Rink.  The team finished 9-8-3 (21 points) this season behind excellent senior leadership, especially from the captains, Nick Pike and Chris Boussy.  The tean rode the hot goaltending of junior Mike Bonavita over the second half of the season and relied on a young, but solid defensive crew.
The team travels to the Raynham IcePlex tomorrow night, Wednesday 2/27/13 at 7pm to take on the number 5 seed Coyle and Cassidy.  Here is a link to directions to the facility - http://www.arenamaps.com/arenas/2060.htm .
