Girls Hockey Inches Closer to Tourney

The WHP Girls’ Hockey Team added 2 more points to their season total last night beating Dennis Yarmouth 5-1, raising their record to 7-9-1.  Despite a tough first period from DY, the WHP players stepped up and took control of the game, dominating much of the second and almost the entire third periods.  Ally Webster scored twice with help from Jackie Sullivan, Shea Coady and Michaela McIsaac netting one each as well.  The girls need 7 of the 10 available points to make it to the tournament.  They’ll take on Norwell for a home-and-home this weekend, weather permitting.  Saturday’s game is currently scheduled for 1:50pm in Bridgewater, and Sunday’s game is set for 7:30pm at the Bog in Kingston.  If you see any of the girls, wish them luck as they continue to make strides for the tournament
