Hanover – No lead was safe tonight for either team until
Whitman-Hanson hung on in the final seconds to defeat Hanover 75-74 in Patriot
League play. Hanover roared back from a
20 point first half deficit to grab a 6 point lead late in the fourth quarter
but Junior Brenndan Rogers (game-high 24 points) drilled a three pointer and
junior Cole Manning hit a tough left layup to give the Panthers the win. Junior Josh Rice tossed in 19 and junior
captain Nick Smith added 12 for the Panthers who improve to 12-4, 11-3. John Carroll scored 16 of his 20 points in
the third quarter to help the Indians fight back to take the lead while Jack Buckley added 18
points.
