> The Whitman-Hanson Girls Varsity Lacrosse lost to Oliver Ames in a non-league match up today 14-7. Oliver Ames used their quickness to lead 11-3 at the half. After halftime, the Panthers defense found a way to slow down Oliver Ames' tempo lead by Captain Caitlin McCormick. Taylor McVeigh, Connor Holland, Jess Nihan, Rachel Spillane, Gabby Majenski and Rachel Kelly all had great on the ball defense and held OA to only 3 goals in the second half. On the offensive end, the Panthers shared the ball well in the second half. The scoring for WH was spread out between Gabby Majenski (3 goals), Rachel Kelly (2 goals/ 1 assist), Rylee Holmes (1 goal/ 1 assist), & Arica McCarthy (1 goal/ 2 assists). Whitman-Hanson is now 2-1 on the season (1-0 league).
