WH volleyball wins tough match against Bridgewater-Raynham

> The Panthers traveled to Bridgewater-Raynham to face off against the Trojans and came away with a strong victory in 5 sets. The game scores were 19-25, 25-21, 25-16, 9-25 and 15-12. The Panthers let the Trojans get out to an early lead in the first set and despite solid play the Panthers weren't able to climb back into the set. In the second and third sets the Panthers played well in all facets of the game and secured the victory in each set. In the fourth set Whitman-Hanson struggled in their passing game and allowed the Trojans to drive the game with their serving and hitting. The lose on the fourth set put both teams into a battle for the match victory in the fifth and deciding set. The Panthers found themselves behind quickly in the set with strong serving by the Trojans. The Panthers didn't let this get to them and they quickly rallied back to take the 8-7 lead as the teams changed sides. The Panthers never looked back and earned the victory thanks to solid serving by Giulia Ruscazio and Jordyn Keith. Playing well for the Panthers tonight were Jordyn Keith with 45 serve receives and 54 digs; Sophie O'Brien with 14 kills and 9 blocks; Halle Julian with 11 kills and 9 blocks; and Tori Perry with 30 assists. Whitman-Hanson moves to 5-6 on the season and travels to Scituate on Wednesday.
