Whitman-Hanson Wrestling Quad




The Whitman-Hanson Wrestling team started the day with a special celebration of prior State Champions and the unavailing of a new State Champions Banner . The Panthers went right to work after the ceremony with a victory against North Quincy finishing the match with by the score of 36-24.  Winners for the Panthers included Ben Cordingley at 132 pounds with a pin in 3:12.  Next up was 170 pound Steve Osborne with a pin in just :38.  In the 182 class, senior Alex O'Roak made quick work of his opponent in just :15.  Finishing up at 220 pounds senior John Will pin his man in 1:54 of the first period. 

Next up was a very experienced King Philip team.  The Panthers ended up on the loosing end of a 48-12 score.  Winners for WH included at 113 ponuds Jake Filicicchia with a pin in :45 of the first period.  At 120 pounds freshmen Matt Rock followed up with a pin in :48.  

In the last round of today's quad meet the Panthers fell to Sharon high school 54-18.  The winners for Whitman-Hanson were Jake Filicicchia with a pin in :20 seconds, Alex O'Roak with a pin in 1:20 and John Will with the fastest pin of the day pinning his opponent in just :12 seconds.

The Panthers are currently 6-10 on the season and travel to Plymouth North on Wednesday for a Patriot League Divisional Meet.
