WH Gymnastics

With an end of the season kick, Whitman-Hanson put up its highest team score of 124.5 in their season finale Patriot League Championship competition. In a full team effort, the Panthers produced their season high event totals on floor (34.05) as well as their most difficult uneven bars apparatus (29.3).

Sarah Bombardier posted one of her highest all-around scores of the season (32.6) to earn 8th place in the Patriot League Championship all-round competition. Kaylee Torpey earned her highest all-around score of the season (31.5) to take 11th place in thr Patriot League Championship all-around competition.
With one of the most difficult uneven bar routines in the Patriot League, Sarah Bombardier was named one of two Patriot League All-Stars on the bars apparatus.

Erin McCoy received Whitman-Hanson's Scholar Athlete Award for her exemplary academic performance this semester balanced with her complete fulfillment of athletic duty.

Joelle Puopolo earned Whitman-Hanson's Sportsmanship Award for her unwavering commitment to her team, always leading by example with a disciplined work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to step up, and ability to connect with all teammates.

Whitman-Hanson's head coach, Rachel Cohen, was named Patriot League Coach of the Year for the 2016-2017 season.

Whitman-Hanson Varsity Gymnastics' first season was an extraordinary learning experience filled with lots of fun and fantastic achievements. This young team has a very bright future and is already looking forward to even greater success next season!
