Wrestling


Th Panther Wrestling team rebounded from a tough loss on Wednesday by beating Nauset 45-24 to open things up at the Dighton-Rehoboth quad meet today.  The second round saw WH fall in a close match to host Dighton-Rehoboth by a score of 42-36.  Rounding out the day it was Hanover topping Whitman-Hanson by a score of 48-31.


Triple winners for WH included Theo Kamperides at 113 pounds and Ben Cordingley at 132 pounds.  Panthers that had two wins today included Myles McInnis at 106 pounds, Matt Butler at 126, Joel McInnis at 145, Steve Brooks at 152, Tyler Cullinan at 160, Steve Osborne at 182 and John Youngman at 195 pounds.  Aaron Fornachari finished out the wins for WH with a win against Hanover.


WH is now 5-11 overall and 2-2 in the Patriot league.  Next up is Patriot League foe Silver Lake on Wednesday night starting at 6:30.  This will also be our Senior night, so please come on out and support your Wrestling team.
