Today, the Whitman Hanson Varsity Golf team spent three hours giving back to their community. Between the hours of 9am and 12pm, players and coaches volunteered their time at the old Plymouth County Hospital location near the Hanson Food Pantry. There, student-athletes worked along with and under the supervision of Hanson resident Marianne DiMascio weeding the community garden, trimming back and removing unsightly and invasive bushes and plants, and reestablishing overgrown walking paths.
The project at PCH is still a few years away from reaching their ultimate goals, but the golf team enjoyed their time helping out today and are proud be a part of what seems to be an amazing vision.
