> Bobby Marshall threw a 3 - hitter as Whitman-Hanson won The Patriot Cup by defeating Plymouth South 8-1. They joined the boys cross country, cheerleading , and boys basketball teams, the other W-H varsity teams to win Patriot Cups this year.

> The Panthers struck for 6 first-inning runs, and then added single runs in the third and fifth.

> Bobby Marshall, his brother Tommy, Ty Gordon, Cole LeVangie, and TJ Whitman all had 2 hits for Whitman-Hanson off of Plymouth South pitchers Sullivan (1) and Maher (5). Ethan Smith also contributed a big single to score 2 runs.

> Bobby Marshall struck out 7 and walked none for Whitman-Hanson to make them 11-2.

> The Panthers will host Dartmouth High School at 4:00 p.m in the first round of the Division 2 state tourney on Monday, June 21.
